WHEN INS VIKRANT GETS COMMISSIONED IN IND; ETC PLANS AIF TO PROMOTE INDIGENOUS DEFENSE MANUFACTURING

Micro investors could be pooled together into Alternative Investment Fund which shall be directed also towards Defense Sector especially towards Indian Defense Manufacturing Companies.


A Corpus Capital of INR 5,000 Cr. Shall be initially instrumented as a financial institution. The AIF will not maintain ‘Non – Profit’ status considering the business interest of investors whereas majority stake will always be reserved with Economic Transformation Council, henceforth the AIF shall remain segregated from ETC’s organisational frame and shall function as a subsidiary with independent management team. On the upcoming Council Meetings, the board will decide the planning committee and structure up to maintain core relations with DRDO (Defense Research and Development Organisation) and IOF (Indian Ordinance Factory).


Economic Transformation Council, on 2021 adopted policy to support Defense Manufacturing Segment in India and actions to promote Foreign Investments for the Indian Defense Manufacturing Companies. Apart from macro investments, ETC now plans to support micro investors who are interested in investing into Defense Segment.


Managing Director, ETC - Mr. Mohamed Amjad Padiyath signed the Resolution with Motto ‘The 10 year plan focus on preparing Indian Defense Manufacturing Companies and their respective R & D teams with State of the Art infrastructure. Commercial benefits are always paid from the pockets of taxpaying citizens of India. As the defense segment improvise, it is also essential to promote the growth of our socio-economic infrastructure. As always given the most importance to, this time ETC also addresses the pressing issue and work to the development of Education and Healthcare development policies in India. Apart from CSR fund, most of the profit line from defense manufacturing will be streamed towards these segments’.
