The Economic Transformation Council (ETC) is delighted to announce the appointment of DR. Vishal Khedekar as the Honorary Director - Talent Development and Internship Programs under its flagship initiative, Sankofa India. This appointment reflects ETC’s commitment to harnessing exceptional leadership to drive transformative programs that shape the future of India’s workforce.
Dr. Khedekar brings a wealth of experience spanning over two decades in human resources, with a proven track record of excellence across industries including engineering, infrastructure, manufacturing, and hospitality. His career highlights include serving as Assistant Vice President - HR at Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd. (Times of India) and General Manager - HR & ER at Mumbai International Airport & Adani Group. In these roles, he demonstrated a unique ability to align human capital strategies with organisational objectives, ensuring operational excellence and sustainable growth.
A scholar with a PhD in Management and Labour Studies, Dr. Khedekar has made significant academic contributions as a visiting faculty member at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, where he has inspired the next generation of HR leaders. His extensive knowledge in areas such as talent management, workforce planning, and organisational development has been further enriched by his experience in navigating complex mergers, spearheading cultural transformations, and resolving critical labour relations matters with finesse.
As Honorary Director, Dr. Khedekar will oversee the design and execution of innovative internship programs that aim to empower young graduates by equipping them with practical skills and industry insights. His leadership will play a pivotal role in establishing robust frameworks that bridge the gap between academic learning and professional requirements, ensuring that emerging talent is well-prepared to meet the demands of a dynamic global workforce.
Dr. Khedekar’s contributions to Sankofa India will also extend to fostering partnerships with corporates, institutions, and other stakeholders to create a thriving ecosystem for internships and talent development.
